Education and Experience
My 20-year career in occupational therapy has included work in community-based settings, acute-care hospitals, home health agencies, long-term care facilities and schools. I worked as a clinical director for two private practices and had been involved with the training and supervision of both occupational therapy (OT) and occupational therapy assistant (OTA) employees and students prior to joining the faculty at Roane State Community College in 2008.
I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology (with art minor) from Allegheny College in 1981. In 1988 I completed my master's degree in occupational therapy at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. This December I will have completed the Nova Southeastern University's degree requirements for a doctorate in education.
