Adobe Connect 9 is a desktop web-conferencing solution that has been successfully adopted for synchronous and asynchronous delivery of educational content. Adobe Connect is compatible with learning management systems such as Blackboard, Moodle, Sakai, and Desire2Learn.
MERLOT
Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) is a free, open-source repository of teaching and learning objects. The collection includes discipline-specific content including case studies, quizzes, tutorials, animations, and assignments. Members may create, upload, and share content. Mobile learning is supported through iOS and Android applications.
TBR eMerging Technologies
The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system oversees 45 institutions of higher education. The TBR recognizes the educational value of emerging technology as well as the potential for mobile learning to prepare 21st century students for the workplace of the future. One of the most useful features of the website is the “Education & Workforce Mobile Apps Resource Bank”. This is a search tool that can be customized for app use, app device type, academic area, and/or educational level.
